Great makeup needs a good base. Here's a simple skin timeline that works for most brides preparing for functions across a wedding week.
6 weeks before: start with a clean-up
A fruit or diamond cleanup clears out buildup and gets your skin used to regular care. This is also the right time to start any hydration-focused facial routine.
4 weeks before: deeper treatments
This is the window for AHA BHA glow facials or O3+ treatments if you want visible texture improvement. Doing these too close to the wedding risks redness during the actual event.
2 weeks before: settle into a routine
Stick to gentle facials like Lotus or Gold. Avoid trying any new product or treatment you haven't used before. This is not the time to experiment.
1 week before: hydration only
A Hydra or Korean Glass Skin facial works well here for an even, glowing finish without any risk of irritation before your functions begin.
2 to 3 days before: body care
Body polishing, manicure and pedicure fit well in this window. They need a day or two to settle but won't interfere with your face prep.
Day before: rest, not treatments
Skip any new facial or waxing the day before. A short head massage to relax and an early night does more for how you look than any last-minute treatment.
